Paul Linford posts an article about journalists who become politicians. He mentions Martin Linton's previous career.

More From Sadiq Khan

Sadiq Khan has been spending more time with Martin Linton.

On Friday, I visited the Tooting Triangle Playground on Tooting Bec Common with Battersea MP, Martin Linton and several local residents. Parents have been worried about the maintenance of the playground . Martin and I wanted to see for ourselves the equipment in the playground and will be lobbying Wandsworth Council to provide better maintenance facilities and improve the safety of the playground for teh children that use it. You can see a photo of our visit by clicking HERE.

At the end of a post about more detailed disclosures of MPs' spending, the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Web Log mentions Martin Linton's resignation from his post as PPS to the Lord Chancellor.

It has also emerged that Martin Linton, the MP for Battersea and former Guardian journalist, has resigned as private parliamentary secretary to Lord Falconer, the lord chancellor, because he disagreed with the proposals to exempt parliament from the FOI Act.
