I have written to Martin Linton about a range of issues over the past year but have never once received an actual reply from him.
It would seem to me that Linton is simply yet another backbench toady who is more than happy to talk whatever rubbish in the House that the party whips demand of him!
More on my blog: <a href="http://www.thethirdrepublic.com/?p=109" rel="nofollow">http://www.thethirdrepublic.com/?p=109</a>
I understand that he is 'strongly in favour of compulsion' in relation to ID cards - the only way they'll get me to accept one is if they use physical force - over my dead body will I participate in Linton's police state!

After my experience with my local cab office I took the case to my local MP. Martin Linton after some toing and froing it was clear to me he was attempting to blackmail me over trumped up document's contrive by the Department for work and pensions and my local citizens advice bureau.
This was a feeble attempt to silence me and now he is in serious trouble he does not deny these facts he can do nothing except keep has head down and hope the problem goes away. I could see there was a need for an honest member of Parliament to represent Battersea of course that is providing there is such a thing as a honest Member of Parliament. At the last general election I realise it would be a close run election between Labour and Conservative
in Battersea.
My personal experience told me many of the areas which traditionally support Labour would voter UKIP if there were one of their members standing. I later found out from UKIP Wandsworth area organisers they would only be standing prospective candidate's in two wards. Putney and Tooting so I contacted senior figures in the party to cut a long story short I gave them the lowdown on Martin Linton well it must have been something I said they came back to me and told me the head found a prospective candidate for Battersea Mr Terry Jones then there was a big flap on to go through all the procedure I was invited as a honorary guest at the executive meeting held in Putney at the home of the UKIP prospective candidate four Putney.
Terry had been a councillor on Greenwich Council London as you can imagine we had a good old chin wag I'm sure Martin Linton ears were burning. By the way to stop any confusion Terry Jones was a Conservative at the time of hes spell on Greenwich Council and I am not a member UKIP and have no intention joining. Terry and I discuss strategies at my home Terry was fully aware he had no chance of winning but he would have a platform to promote hes beliefs which he took full advantage of at the results with a speech.
Once Terry was firmly in the saddle I saw nothing of him he never gave me a chance to give him the key areas to canvass to pick up Labour voters was Terry running is own vendetta against the Conservatives for reasons
best known to him? Had UKIP it's own agenda? had I lost Dominic Schofield a parliamentary seat

I wonder how Mr Linton feels about this?

That is fine, but why should we have to pay for them. I have nothing against having to have them, but to be ripped off and forced to pay for them is outrageous.
If you want us to have them, make them free for first issue!

I too detest the man, he seems to have done nothing for the good, certainly nothing for Battersea throughout his tenure.
But..this comment of his does seem to suggest that the penny may have dropped. It's not an entitlement card. no. That's right Martin, it's the all new fascism card. That's right. Swallow. Gulp. It's the all new government profiling and monitoring card.
Realise it. Realise it. It's hard, it's shattering, but please. Come on. Shattered dreams time. You're working for the nasty guys (but, thankfully pretty poorly).

I have just heard the idiotic Linton speak in the latest debate on ID Cards a few minutes ago. I put his name into a search engine and found your site.
The man is a complete idiot and a stooge, he spent ages wittering on in a debate that is only 40 minutes long.
I feel sorry for you if he is your MP, though not as sorry as I am having Hilary Benn as mine.
Keep up the good work.
In Peace
Mick

Pitty Martin Linton cant find time to table an early day motion asing Blair and his war pals not to back an attack or war on Iran which is only weeks away.
Fuuny how these people want to distract us from the war crimes that has seen over 100,000 Iraqi people die since the invasion. How about an ealy day mtiion comdeming the use of "cluster bombs" by the US supported by the UK.
No it all to easy to have a laugth at the expense of George Galloway who at least shows he is human and not like the New Labour Party robots who vote for wars ans will also dutifully vote for cuts in the benefits for the poor and disabled.
Move over New Labour - your time is up!
